Muschg and Lewinsky: two Swiss intellectuals on the SVP

Adolf Muschg’s new novel, Sax, is a satire about SVP chief politician C. Blocher.

Already some years ago, Blocher started a campaign against Muschg and other leftist intellectuals, in which he called them ennemies of the people and claimed that they discovered the Holocaust as a business. Muschg subsequently received anonymous death threats.

Swiss author Charles Lewinsky wrote an essay where he writes about the rightwing populism of the SVP, naming it “Eidenbenz”.
